Organized by the team at Daniel Lambert – Helen, Tim, Olivia as well as Daniel, the event was focused on the Wine Trade (Independent Wine Merchants) as a portfolio event showcasing over 120 wines. The wines were from France, Italy, Spain. Portugal, Austria, Germany Usa, and Canada.

In the afternoon, two masterclasses were hosted by Westcott Vineyards with Carolyn and Grant giving over 100 participants an appreciation of wine growing in Canada. The sessions began with an outline of the geographical and geological characteristics of Niagara which approximate the same as Burgundy with Niagara having a warmer growing season with albeit a colder winter requiring specific mitigations. Most of the audience were surprised but appreciated the presentation and were less skeptical in the end. Carolyn then presented 5 wines for tasting – Brilliant Blancs de Blanc, Butlers’ Grant Reisling, Westcott Estate Chardonnay, Westcott Estate Pinot Noir, and Butlers’ Grant Cabernet Franc. Audience participation was enthusiastic and animated. Our understanding was numerous orders were placed for Westcott Wine that day.
