"In pinot noir for Westcott Vineyards it is the Vinemount Ridge that translates to Reserve but not in matters of better or more important than say a single vineyard or block iteration. Reserve because there surely is more fruit concentration, density and texture in this pinot. Colour, glycerol and volatile compounds as well, all tenets of a wine’s constitution that help to define what it means to be a Reserve. More impressive up front though not necessarily the one to age too deep into the decade. Drink 2023-2027."
